My name is Martin Jensen, and I am not your typical mortgage broker. You won’t find me wearing a suit & tie, but you will find me approachable, knowledgeable, and extremely good at what I do. I appreciate the value of a hard-earned dollar and always put my client’s best interests first. I am down to earth and focus on building business relationships vs getting the next paycheck.
I joined the mortgage industry in early 2007, hold the highest designation in our industry (Accredited Mortgage Professional), and continuously reach for excellence in all I do. I truly love what I do, and have a genuine passion to help my clients well beyond the first transaction. It’s thanks to my amazing clients, that I’m proud to say my business is all referral based.
Prior to being a mortgage broker, I was a National team athlete and Head Coach with the Canadian Freestyle Ski Team. I then moved on to be the Program Director and Olympic Team leader for the Canadian Snowboard team. Needless to say, I am focused, goal oriented, and have an intense passion for helping others achieve their goals and dreams.
Outside of work, I am ‘living the dream’ with my amazing wife and three incredible kids. We love to travel off the beaten path and doing anything outdoors, all while striving to keep things slow and simple to better appreciate life’s amazing journey.
If I earn your trust and respect as a client, you will have a genuine and efficient professional that works very hard for YOU.
If you are looking to purchase a property, understanding all the mortgage options available to you can seem overwhelming. That’s where I come in, I do this everyday, and I love it. I will help you make sense of all the numbers guide you through the process.
Are you looking to access some of the equity built up in your property? Maybe you want to consolidate some debts, start a new business, buy a vacation or investment property, or travel the world… regardless, let’s discuss all your mortgage options!
If you are within six months of your mortgage renewal, or if your existing lender has sent you a renewal offer in the mail, I can give you a second opinion, and in most cases save you money. NEVER just sign the offer, there is ALWAYS room to negotiate.
Looking to figure out roughly what you might qualify for on a mortgage? Here are a few different calculators that should do the trick. However if you are seriously looking to purchase, calculators will get you in the ballpark, but having me look at your financial situation by completing a mortgage application will let you know exactly where you stand!
Why Use a Mortgage Broker?
Importance of Being Pre-Approved
Martin was wonderful to deal with. He explained everything, helped set up everything, and even walked me through getting a free scanning app to make it easier for me to send documents. He was always available, and replied to any questions very quickly. At one point, the bank suddenly decided they needed a couple more documents, and Martin worked quickly to coordinate getting them from the real estate agent so as not to delay my key release. I would recommend using Dominion lending and Martin to friends without hesitationAmy C
I have used Martin twice to help me with my mortgages and I wouldn’t hesitate to use him again. He takes care of all the work and somehow gets you a lower mortgage rate. It’s the best of both worlds. I don’t know how I could have navigated all the steps on my own. Thanks Martin!Graham N
I was extremely happy with the services we received throughout the entire process of buying a house. From the very beginning, Martin proved he was knowledgeable and genuinely wanted to help us achieve our short term and long-term goals.Steve E
Martin is extremely helpful from start to finish and took what would otherwise have been an overwhelming experience and made it stress-free.Cam & Nicole
This is our second time working with Martin and can’t say enough amazing things about him and the knowledge he provides. He has made our most recent purchase more bearable with his kindness of words, positive outlook and all the help he has provided. We truly believe he went above and beyond what is expected of him as a mortgage broker and we can’t thank him enough for this. We will always use Martin for any of our mortgage needs now and in the future!Pam & Justin
